Located on the banks of the Cape Fear River, Historic Downtown Wilmington is the eighth most populous city in the state of North Carolina and in 2014 was named the “Best American Riverfront,” by USA Today.

Wilmington is known as a place of southern charm. Historic homes, tree lined roads and friendly smiles can all be found in the port city. Don’t mistake Wilmington as a sleepy town as it also boasts the largest television and movie production facility outside of California in EUE Screen Gems Studios. Walk around town and you may recognize scenes from you favorite movies including Iron Man 3, or television shows One Tree Hill and Dawson’s Creek.

Many famous figures have called Wilmington home including basketball legend Michael Jordan, actor Andy Griffith, Pro Football Hall of Fame legend Sonny Jurgensen, professional boxer Sugar Ray Leonard, Baseball Hall of Fame member Willie Stargell and country music legend Charlie Daniels.

Take a stroll down Wilmington’s Historic Front Street and you will find Farmin’ On Front nestled between the Cotton Exchange and Riverfront Park.

Our Story

Farmin’ On Front is the first urban food market under the Farmin’ Brands umbrella and is located in Historic Downtown Wilmington. Unique to Farmin’ On Front include the ever popular “Beer Barn” which houses an array of local Carolina beers as well as the “Make-Your-Own,” glass bottle dispensing machine. Produce from area farmers, seafood from local fishermen, and meat from area ranchers make for an exciting shopping destination.
